Dyke Bar Take Over KW
At Dyke Bar Takeover KW, we’re a passionate group dedicated to creating and supporting event spaces for queer cis, trans women, and allies, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.
makingspace.tech is a collective guild of people working to make safer spaces in our community.
Our goal is to foster inclusivity, diversity, accessibility, and representation in technology. Bringing the community together and providing a space for marginalized voices to be amplified.

OutInWaterlooRegion is a community collaboration sponsored by the Waterloo Region Rainbow Coalition and Wellbeing Waterloo Region. Sometimes organizations will organize individual events of interest to the local Rainbow Community, but do not wish to become on-going contributors to the OutinWaterlooRegion.ca Calendar. Events posted on behalf of these organizations will show as being posted by OutinWaterlooRegion.
Queer Night Out Waterloo Region
Queer Night Out Waterloo Region hopes to create in person, safe, social opportunities for members of a local rainbow community to meet and connect. We strive to be inclusive or a wide range of sexual orientations and gender identities.
Rainbow Community Council
The Rainbow Community Council brings together existing community organizations (allied with the Rainbow community) to develop a truly community-wide, sustainable framework for supporting the Rainbow community as a whole.
For 20 years Rainbow Reels Queer and Trans Film Festival has been bringing queer and trans centred art and film to Waterloo Region and southwestern Ontario. Throughout the year you can expect to find film, art, comedy, workshops, parties, and community. Each year we bring carefully curated and engaging content.
Spectrum is Waterloo Region’s first ever LGBTQ/Rainbow community space! A safe space for our community, Spectrum is so much more. Programming, social groups, special projects, research, events, resources, a DVD library – Spectrum is the center of our rainbow community.
Waterloo Public Library
Waterloo Public Library seeks to be a transformational force in the development of Waterloo and its citizens. We provide resources, programs, services and expertise to support the development of multiple literacies in people of all ages.
Waterloo Region Rainbow Coalition
The Waterloo Region Rainbow Coalition is a volunteer-based community association that acts as a central hub for the local Rainbow community. WRRC brings together various stakeholders from across the Region. Our emphasis is on building partnerships and working collaboratively to meet the needs of the Rainbow community.
